OUR STAFF

BridgeWater Learning Center teachers meet all licensing requirements and beyond.  We are a Step Up to Quality learning facility, so all teachers are required to complete SUTQ training and State trainings every year.  State requirements include up-to-date training in First Aid, CPR, Communicable Disease, and Child Abuse.  Childhood developmental stages and needs are maintained by BridgeWater Learning Center teachers at all times.

What's your favorite part about being the director of BWLC?
Being the Director at BridgeWater Learning Center means so much more than just coming to "work".  Every day it means being able to provide love, care, attention, and support to not only the children, but to the families and the staff as well.  When I walk through the doors every morning I know that I am surrounded by great teachers. They look at each day as a new adventure, and share in the BridgeWater mission to enrich and enhance the lives of all our children.  What means the most to me at the end of every day is knowing that whether I was greeted with giggles or tears, my hug, smile and time, made a difference in their day.
Why did you choose to become a teacher?
When my youngest son was in the first grade, while at his parent/teacher conference, I was informed that he had some learning delays. To help support his learning I decided to enroll in college child development classes to learn ways to help him.  It was while I was taking classes that I fell in love and created a passion for working in early childhood education. I realized the impact of future learning in children all starts during birth through age five. I made it my goal to always create fun developmentally appropriate learning environments for young children.
